My Disneyland Bag Must-Haves
We all know that the happiest place on Earth requires the right preparation. One of these key components is the what you choose to bring into the park(s). Now, I’ll cut to the chase…
I choose to bring one small backpack with me. One of the things I love about The Disneyland Resort (DLR) is that it’s easy to stow your belongings on most rides. I choose a small backpack because it fits just the right amount of items and is easy on the back!
Next are the essentials:
Water bottle: I am a big water drinker and the last thing I want is to be spending money on water bottles instead of churros! DLR has several water stations around the park (which you can search in the app!) and food stations will also provide a cup of water if you ask.
Portable battery pack: Disney has created an experience that requires your phone for much of it. If you’re also taking lots of photos and videos, your battery will drain quickly. A recharge is a must!
Chapstick/lipstick: a classic essential
Sunscreen: another classic. Southern California is sunny most of the time and nothing puts a damper on your day like a burning red sunburn.
Wallet/keys: with digital wallets and hotel keys on the rise, you could probably get away without them, but it’s not the best idea. Especially if you plan to have an alcoholic beverage in DCA and need your ID!
Sunglasses: these land in the must-have category for me for that sunny SoCal weather!
Some considerations:
Snacks: DLR allows you to bring in snacks which can be great if you are trying to save money on food. For me personally, food is half the fun and I tend to plan on that spending. But, since I typically stay in the park all day, I typically bring some peanut butter pouches, carrots and crackers as my favorite fillers.
Hand sanitizer/wet wipes: Disney is great about having sanitizer stations and plenty of bathrooms to wash up, but this can be helpful, especially if you have kids with you.
Hair ties/clips: this is obviously more of a consideration for the ladies out there, but these items come in for a variety of reasons. In fact, on my last trip I used a claw clip to attach a Disney merchandise bag to my backpack strap so I didn’t have to carry it. It was perfect and made me consider bringing some proper clips with me next time!
So there you have it: my favorite essentials for a trip to the Disney parks. I’m sure I missed a few so leave your faves below! And be sure to subscribe for more content on all things travel and coffee!
Until then, keep sippin’ & exploring!
